FAQs

A registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) is a nutrition specialist. If a strength coach trains the athlete and an athletic trainer treats injuries, a sports dietitian makes sure the athlete has the fuel to perform, recover, adapt to training, and stay healthy. You can also think of an RDN as a nutrition translator. There's endless information online about food, diets, and supplements. A dietitian takes the science, filters out the misinformation, and turns it into practical advice that fits your life.

  • Comprehensive review of current eating habits and lifestyle

  • Assessment of training, competition, and recovery demands

  • Evaluation of performance, body composition, and health goals

  • Identification of fueling and hydration opportunities

  • Personalized nutrition recommendations

  • Evidence-based supplement guidance, when appropriate

  • Customized action plan with clear next steps

Following the initial consultation, a personalized nutrition strategy is developed based on your goals, training schedule, and current habits. Clients receive access to the Practice Better platform, providing a centralized hub for communication, progress tracking, assessments, food logging, goal setting, and educational resources. Follow-up sessions offer ongoing support, accountability, and strategy adjustments to help you perform, recover, and thrive.

The hour and 15-minute initial consult is at a self-pay rate of $175.

Follow-up appointments are 45 minutes and are charged at a self-pay rate of $115. Typical follow-up frequency is between 2 and 4 weeks.

Insurance is not currently accepted.

Many athletes notice improvements in energy, recovery, and fueling confidence within a few weeks. More significant changes in performance, body composition, and long-term habits typically occur over several months of consistent implementation. The goal is sustainable progress, not quick fixes.
